A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for felony suspicion of domestic battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence warrant, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE 5:15PM: The Tornado Warning has expired. Flooding throughout Carson City is being reported as rush hours begins. William Street from Mills Park, College Parkway, Roop Street, and Saliman all experiencing flooding issues. Much of the heavy rain has now moved on though there are several lightning strikes still around Carson City.

Night in the Country officials announced Tuesday they will be changing the camper ingress and egress due to flood damage on Miller Lane in Yerington, Nev. West Goldfield Avenue will now be the main access to the campground entrances. The venue was not damaged during the flooding.

Lyon County Manager: Miller Lane in Yerington closed due to flooding

Lyon County has closed Miller Lane in Yerington due to flooding issues. In the past 48 hours Lyon County has discovered the road barriers moved and a county vehicle damaged, officials said.

The Road Department has filed a report with Lyon County Sheriff's Office and may be installing video surveillance until the road can be open, said Lyon County Manager Jeff Page.

Sandoval signs 29 bills, including money for flood and fire work; vetoes pot apprenticeship bill

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval signed 29 bills into law Wednesday including a $6 million appropriations bill for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to make up for a projected shortfall due to the costs of fire suppression, emergency response and flood related projects over the past several months in Carson City, Douglas, Washoe, Lyon and Churchill counties as well as Lemmon Valley and Elko County.
