Spaghetti Fundraiser for David Mickelsen's Kidney transplant

Hello dear friends in the Carson City area. Our friend, David Mickelson, is pretty close to getting his kidney transplant. In fact, we're excited to announce that he is scheduled to have his kidney transplant on May 31!

We still need to do a lot of fundraising, so we plan to have a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Espolon's Grill in Mound House. The tickets are $12 each and all the proceeds go to David to cover some of his expenses for his transplant. Your ticket will give you spaghetti, meatballs, salad and garlic bread. Drinks sold separately. Here’s a recap.

The Carson City Chapter of Nevada Raider Nation will host its inaugural Draft Day Party from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Espolon Grill y Tequileria in Moundhouse.
All Raiders fans are welcome to attend, there is no entry fee. Drawings will be held each hour for Raiders items.
Applications to join the Carson City Chapter of Nevada Raider Nation will be available for those who want to join. Membership is $20 per person.
Espolon is located at 10115 US Highway 50, on the south side of the roadway. Espolon will also have their menu and drinks available for purchase.

Deputies arrest man for securing a door with a dog leash, driving into stranger's yard

A 25-year-old man was arrested by Special Enforcement Team deputies in the 1700 block of Stewart Street Thursday evening for DUI drugs, failure to maintain a lane, driving without a driver’s license in possession, driving without a front plate, and driving with an unsecured load.

SET deputies observed a vehicle exiting a parking lot on Winnie Lane and observed it was driving without a front license plate. They also observed there was a full rear lift gate for a Ford Explorer on the roof the car, strapped on top of the roof with a thin dog-leash, which was insufficient to hold the weight of the door.

A Dayton man was arrested for suspicion of reckless driving causing injury and attempted escape following a 3-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday morning, sending one person to the hospital via Care Flight.
