But above all, enjoy the events and activities lined up in Carson City, Carson Valley, Mound House, Silver City, Virginia City and Dayton areas.

Hello dear friends in the Carson City area. Our friend, David Mickelson, is pretty close to getting his kidney transplant. In fact, we're excited to announce that he is scheduled to have his kidney transplant on May 31!

We still need to do a lot of fundraising, so we plan to have a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Espolon's Grill in Mound House. The tickets are $12 each and all the proceeds go to David to cover some of his expenses for his transplant. Your ticket will give you spaghetti, meatballs, salad and garlic bread. Drinks sold separately. Here’s a recap.

We're working our way into Thursday, April 25, 2019 and feeling the warmup around the Carson City region. Winding down our work week we have art, theater and railroad history talks, library presentations, a fitness walk, climate change discussion, back pain wellness workshop, music ensemble at the community center and more. A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of driving under the influence causing substantial bodily harm, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Carson High School senior students have successfully completed their 2019 Senior Projects, a CHS graduation requirement, and they could not have accomplished this without the selfless sacrifice of members of the Carson City community.

The Carson City Chapter of Nevada Raider Nation will host its inaugural Draft Day Party from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Espolon Grill y Tequileria in Moundhouse.
All Raiders fans are welcome to attend, there is no entry fee. Drawings will be held each hour for Raiders items.
Applications to join the Carson City Chapter of Nevada Raider Nation will be available for those who want to join. Membership is $20 per person.
Espolon is located at 10115 US Highway 50, on the south side of the roadway. Espolon will also have their menu and drinks available for purchase.

Easter is this upcoming weekend, which means there will be a lot of small children, colored eggs, pastel colors, bunnies, candy, and festive spirits to be had. But Easter Sunday isn't the only day for egg hunts. Here's a list of upcoming egg-related activities for Carson City residents.

In an era where students are more comfortable communicating behind a screen rather than face-to-face, teaching Physical Education can be more than challenging at times. It seems that each year there are fewer students who enjoy physical activity. This year has been no different.

Hello Carson City and welcome to Tuesday, April 9, 2018. Today will be a mixed bag weather wise, featuring showers, gusty conditions, sunshine and much cooler temperatures. In other words, it looks and feels a lot like spring. Meanwhile, we've got a full plate of activities around town. Read on for more.

A 25-year-old man was arrested by Special Enforcement Team deputies in the 1700 block of Stewart Street Thursday evening for DUI drugs, failure to maintain a lane, driving without a driver’s license in possession, driving without a front plate, and driving with an unsecured load.

SET deputies observed a vehicle exiting a parking lot on Winnie Lane and observed it was driving without a front license plate. They also observed there was a full rear lift gate for a Ford Explorer on the roof the car, strapped on top of the roof with a thin dog-leash, which was insufficient to hold the weight of the door.

A Dayton man was arrested for suspicion of reckless driving causing injury and attempted escape following a 3-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday morning, sending one person to the hospital via Care Flight.

With spring underway, April events at Washoe Lake State Park north of Carson City in Washoe Valley include an evening hike, an Easter Egg Hunt, and a birdwatching program.

The Carson City Library invites everyone in Carson City to participate in a community read of "Station Eleven" by Emily St. John Mandel for the library’s annual Capital City Reads program during the month of April.

Capital City Reads is Carson City Library’s annual city-wide book club sponsored by the Friends of the Carson City Library that brings people together through reading and discussion.

A Dayton woman was arrested early Tuesday morning in the 1100 block of Woodside Drive for gross misdemeanor suspicion of child neglect and endangerment and a parole and probation violation, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 9:25 p.m. for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI, and three counts being in possession of a firearm while under the influence, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

The Democratic Men's Committee of Carson City will host a Black History Celebration the evening of Wednesday, February 27 in the banquet room of La Santaneca pupuseria, 316 E Winnie Lane near San Marcos Grill in Carson City.
