Everyone interested is welcome to attend the Little League's pizza party, Monday, Feb. 4 from 6:15-8 p.m. at the Round Table Pizza on Retail Drive in Carson City.
You’ll get all of the information needed to be an umpire, meet some great people and, of course, get some pizza.

A series of storms is forecast to move into our region Saturday, dropping temperatures as well as rain and snow. As the photo suggests, rain in the morning is a sailor's warning, so batten down those hatches.

Spelling Bee Winners!

Our Local Bee was held January 30 at Bethlehem Lutheran School. Representing Carson City will be 5th grader Noel White from Bethlehem Lutheran School, 6th grader Samantha Badger from Carson Montessori, 7th grader Emily Phillips from St. Teresa of Avila and 8th grader Hayden Steyn from Bethlehem Lutheran School.
Samantha and Hayden are repeat winners from last year and look forward to advancing further in the bee this year.
New director joins Carson City's Children's Museum of Northern Nevada

"We were delighted to extend an offer to Mr. Korn because he had extensive fundraising experience as well as an MA in Non Profit Arts Management" says Casey Gilles, Board President. "The museum's Board of Directors felt these two attributes made him an ideal candidate that would chart a new course for the museum involving increased resource development, enhanced constituent engagement, and a focus on revising the museum's collection."

Chinese New Year Celebration
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Wed, 01/30/2019 - 3:31pmThe Children's Museum of Northern Nevada in Carson City will once again partner with the Nevada State Museum to offer a celebration of Chinese New Year on Feb. 9t, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Festivities will begin with a music and dance performance at the Nevada State Museum at 10 AM followed by a lion dance parade up North Carson Street before concluding at the Children’s Museum at 11 AM where there will be crafts, music, and play. The event is free for members. Daily admission will apply for all non-member guests.
