Home 4 the Holidays and Lights of Love celebrated at Nevada Humane Society
Two big holiday campaigns are underway at Nevada Humane Society, aiming to find homes for 1,200 homeless pets and raise $50,000 for their ongoing care between two shelter locations. Will you be giving back this holiday season to help them reach this goal?
Home 4 the Holidays
A nationwide pet adoption drive, this was created to move animals out of shelters and into good homes during a season of giving and love. Since its inception over 12 million pets have gone home. At Nevada Humane Society, there’s no place like Home for the Holidays and through December 31, you can help find homes for 1,200 dogs and cats! With fees waived on cats over the age of five, as well as select senior pets and those who have been at the shelter longer than others, this holiday season is a great time to add to your family! Lights of Love
The holidays are also a time to show our beloved pets how much they mean to us, and to reflect on the memory of loved ones no longer with us. Through Nevada Humane Society’s Lights of Love, you can do this and help the homeless pets at the same time! Lights are symbolic, illuminated throughout both shelters (Reno and Carson City) and the Outlets at Sparks Marina. The lights are lit through December 31 and made possible by Christmas Décor by Signature Landscapes. When you visit any one of these locations to see the lights, you can be proud knowing that not only are you honoring your pets, but giving back to Nevada Humane Society as well.
Here’s how it works:
· A Lights of Love form can be completed at either shelter, by mail to 2825-B Longley Lane, Reno NV 89502 or phone to 775-856-2000 ext. 332, where you will list your pets you wish to honor
· A donation of $10 for one light; $50 for 10 lights; or $100 for 20 lights is made
· A certificate will be sent to you, or if this is a gift for someone else, it can be sent to the person of your choice
· Questions? 775-856-2000 ext. 332
