Carson City Sheriff’s Office bookings: Weekend arrests for DUI, drugs, domestic battery

Two from Carson City were arrested Sunday for felony warrants alleging they obtained money by false pretenses, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Arrested were Marline Helen Cameron, 30, and Scott Michael Seymour, 51. They were taken into custody in the 1900 block of North Carson Street after deputies served them warrants. Each are being held on $20,000 bail.

In other arrests:
— A 39-year-old Carson City woman was jailed Sunday for felony suspicion of provide false identification to avoid prosecution, possession of a controlled substance.

April Dawn Carpenter was arrested at 4:23 a.m. in the 3800 block of South Carson Street. She also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear and contempt of court.

According to the arrest report, a deputy recognized a man and woman inside a casino and asked the woman for identification. Carpenter provided the officer with a false name. Dispatch advised there wasn’t a matching name. The woman then told the deputy that she had provided her sister’s identification instead. The officer recognized that he had arrested Carpenter in the past for drug charges.

A warrants check showed Carpenter to have two active, confirmed warrants for her arrest with a bail amount of $11,150. During a search, deputies found a plastic baggie with methamphetamine in the woman’s right coin pocket. Inside a backpack, a deputy found a zipped container with multiple plastic baggies and Q-tips. Bail: $29,787.

— A 25-year-old Carson City man, Tyler Michael Kleine, was booked into Carson City jail on Saturday, 10:30 a.m. for a felony possession of a controlled substance warrant. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.

— A brother and sister were arrested early Sunday after officers were called to a domestic dispute in the 1000 block of Ladera Drive.

Karina Decender, 26, was taken into custody for felony parole and probation violation. Her brother, 23, was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, the sister and brother and another woman began to argue as to whether the man was playing too rough with the kids inside the home.

The female inside the home said the brother and sister began to argue and it became physical at one point. A deputy observed a small amount of blood on the carpet while talking to the woman.

The brother stated his sister and the woman got into his face, that he lost his cool, and “probably took it too far,” the arrest report states. He stated he did not punch his sister but stated he pushed her. He took a preliminary breath test with a result of .120.

The officer spoke with the sister and observed a moderate amount of swelling on the left side of her face. She would not state she was hit other than her brother “freaked out.” She refused to say whether he hit her and said if she had to testify she would refuse. She was arrested for parole and probation violation after a breath test resulted in a .141. She is on probation with a no drinking clause. She was held without bail in lieu of a hearing. The 23-year-old’s bail: $3,137.

— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 5 a.m. in the area of North Carson and East Long streets for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and improper lane change. According to the arrest report, the driver was stopped for making abrupt turns and lane changes on Carson Street.

The man identified himself with his license, and had a moderate odor of alcohol. The officer asked if he had been consuming alcohol. The man replied he “had a few beers.” He agreed to participate in field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He blew a preliminary breath test of .103. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he chose to submit to a blood sample for the evidentiary test. Bail: $1,224.

— A 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday, 9:45 a.m. in the 2900 block of Mayflower Way on two misdemeanor violation of bail condition warrants. Bail: $6,000.

— A 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 1:30 p.m. in the area of Sutra Terrace and Goni Road for a misdemeanor warrant for destruction of property and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. Bail: $3,622.

— A 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 5:37 p.m. in the 900 block of East Long Street for misdemeanor suspicion of battery. According to the arrest report, the woman became verbally and physically abusive with counseling staff at an East Long Street counseling center. Bail: $1,137.

— A Shingletown, Calif., woman was arrested Saturday, 9:05 p.m. in the area of North Carson and East John Street for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $500.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 10:30 a.m. on a misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $1,000.

— A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 3:06 p.m. for misdemeanor suspicion of hit and run of an unoccupied vehicle. According to the arrest report, the victim of a vehicle hit and run told deputies the man reversed his truck into the woman’s vehicle in the 500 block of North Stewart Street.

The woman yelled to the driver “hey, you hit my car.” Instead of stopping, the driver took off. She provided a license plate number. A while later the man returned and a deputy interviewed him. When the woman positively identified the man, he became agitated and began to raise his voice and put his hands in the air in an aggressive manner. He was arrested. Bail: $637.

— A 34-year-old Pacific Grove, Calif., man was arrested early Monday, 1:02 a.m. in the 2700 block of South Carson Street for suspicion of violating a protection order. Bail: $3,000.

— A 26-year-old Aurora, Colo., man was booked into Carson City Jail on Sunday, 10:30 a.m. for a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $3,000.
