Douglas County announces Topaz Lake Campground to open June 1
In response to Governor Sisolak’s announcement of our entering Phase Two of COVID- 19 Recovery, Douglas County Community Services is pleased to announce the reopening of Topaz Lake Campground effective June 1, 2020.
Campground reservations will continue to be accepted online and in advance. Please know that spots may be limited.
As we begin to re-open with new guideline in place, some services we provide are limited. Campers are strongly encouraged to social distance (maintain 6 feet of separation from other campers not in your party at all times), sanitize facilities in common areas prior to use and to utilize facial coverings in outdoor spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained.
Please remember the following when entering and using the Topaz Lake Campground:
To prepare:
• If you are sick or suffer from high risk health conditions, please stay home. You are strongly encouraged to check the temperature of all of those in your party prior to joining the other campers.
• Do not congregate in the parking lots, at the boat launch, bathrooms or other common areas with campers not in your party. Avoid groups and maintain a minimum of six-foot social distancing between your group and other campers.
• It is strongly encouraged that all customers where facial coverings at all times when in the facilities.
• We remind you to wash your hands frequently during your stay and exercise diligent hygiene practices.
Services to expect:
• Showers will not be made available for use, but bathrooms are open.
• Water fountains are not in operation at this time, so please plan accordingly.
• We may decide to limit the number of campers permitted at any given time due to facility maintenance or other safety reasons.
• RV dump stations will be available.
• Dumpsters are available throughout the campground so be sure to discard all of your trash properly.
• Please remember to extinguish all campfires by 10 PM.
Have fun, be safe and enjoy yourself!
