CARSON CITY — The Stewart Indian School Cultural Center and Museum announced Thursday it is reopening to the public on Tuesday, Jan. 19, the day after the nation celebrates Martin Luther King Day.

Last week, the Carson City School Board approved the school district's Reopening Plan, which includes a hybrid schedule or a fully distance-learning program, as well as agreeing to push the start date to begin Monday, Aug. 24.

The Carson City School District School Board of Trustees approved the district’s proposed School Reopening Plan Tuesday night by a 4-3 vote.
