Carson City woman arrested for suspected fentanyl possession
A 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested for alleged possession of fentanyl Thursday afternoon in the area of Highway 50 E. and Airport Rd.
According to the arrest report, deputes stopped a vehicle driving without license plates.
The driver provided a valid moving permit and proof of insurance, and the two passengers in the vehicle also provided their information, including 29-year-old Kristina Harrison.
All occupants of the vehicle were asked to step out while a K-9 exterior sniff was conducted. During the removal of the passengers, according to the report, a deputy on scene witnessed Harrison “attempt to hide something in her bra” and placed her in handcuffs.
While the K-9 alerted to the presence of drug odor within the vehicle, no drugs were found inside the car. When a female deputy arrived on scene, a search of Harrison revealed a small plastic container inside of her bra.
Harrison allegedly told deputies the container had fentanyl inside.
However, from the report, it does not appear that deputies opened the container containing the suspected fentanyl. The unopened container was weighed with the substance inside of it for a combined total weight of 26 grams.
Harrison was transported without incident to the jail and booked on possession of a controlled substance.
