CARSON CITY, Nev. — The Whyld Foundation will host its official fundraising gala on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 5:00–9:00 p.m. at one of Carson City’s most historic and iconic landmarks — the Nevada Governor’s Mansion.
Located at 606 Mountain Street in Carson City, the Nevada Governor’s Mansion has been a part of Nevada history for more than a century. Built in 1909, the historic residence has served as the official home of Nevada’s governors and their families for generations. On October 9, its doors will open for an evening dedicated to supporting children and families right here in the Carson City community.
The gala is being hosted by The Whyld Foundation, a Carson City-based nonprofit organization committed to helping local children by addressing food insecurity and other barriers that can impact their ability to thrive.
Through its community programs, The Whyld Foundation provides food, essential items, and grant and scholarship opportunities to children in Carson City. The Foundation works closely with the community to identify needs and create tangible, local solutions that directly benefit children.
Fundraising events like the October 9 gala are a vital part of making that work possible. Money raised allows The Whyld Foundation to continue purchasing food and essential items, expanding its programs, and providing financial assistance and educational opportunities to local youth.
