Carson City arrests: Drunk man warned about loud music jailed for disturbing the peace
A 60-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Tuesday morning in the 1600 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor suspicion of disturbing the peace.
According to the arrest report, the Carson City Sheriff's Office was contacted three separate times over an hour regarding a man living in an apartment playing his music too loud.
At 12:03 a.m. officers arrived again at the location and approached the unit and could hear the loud music and noticed that the window to the living room area was open, which made the music louder for tenants in the apartment complex.
Deputies spoke with a reporting party who said they were unable to sleep due to the loud music and the RP agreed to sign a citizen's arrest form.
Officers made contact with the man playing the loud music. During a prior call for service the man was told to lower the music. Because the man was highly intoxicated and did not listen to the officer's instructions to lower the music during prior contact, the officer determined it would not be appropriate to issue a citation and instead arrested him. He was taken into custody where he was uncooperative.
He provided a preliminary breath sample of .295 and was taken to the hospital for medical clearance for alcohol intoxication. At the hospital he continued to shout at medical staff. Once medically cleared he was taken to jail where he continued to be uncooperative. Bail: $192.

According to the arrest report, an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for not having a license plate displayed.
The officer informed the man about why he was stopped, explained he needed to have a plate on the vehicle. The man then pulled out a dealer plate and showed the officer, who then explained that the dealer plate needed to be mounted, the report states.
The officer observed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the man's person. The officer asked if he had been drinking. The man replied that he had 2 beers. He agreed to field sobriety tests, where he showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test with a .09.
Due to observations during the standardized field sobriety tests, the officer believed the man was under the influence of a depressant and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he agreed to take a blood test for evidentiary testing. Bail: $1,249.
