CARSON CITY — Today, Governor Steve Sisolak is marking the loss of more than 5,000 Nevadans due to COVID-19 by asking all Nevadans to participate in a moment of silence or lighting of a candle in honor of the lives lost at 6 p.m.
Carson City's Bethlehem Lutheran School 'Penny Wars' helps those in need

Students from Bethlehem Lutheran School in Carson City helped raise more than $6,500 for the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation. Through the School's Penny Wars, and with a match by the Pennington Foundation, they were able to help children and families in need with over $13,000. Go Crusaders!

A 27-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon on an officer and other offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

Quad County COVID-19 Wednesday update: Three new groups now eligible for vaccinations

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, March 3, 2021 that there are 24 new cases and 51 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. This brings the total number of cases to 11,287, with 9,182 recoveries and 208 deaths; 1,897 cases remain active.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded Wednesday afternoon to a report of a fire inside a unit at the Senator Apartments, 555 Roop Street. When first responders arrived, they found an adult male deceased inside.
House of Glass, Carson City’s newest artisan glass works boutique and smoking accessories store, is now open

A new glasswork and art boutique has opened on the corner of Clearview and S. Carson Street, offering smoking accessories, glass art, clothing, and more.
House of Glass officially opened on Jan. 31, according to manager E.J. Johnson, and they are an expansion of the Glass Shack, located on N. Carson Street.
