Carson City Sheriff’s Office provides update on juvenile runaway

On December 14, 2020 Xavier Pierce ran away from his home in Carson City. Xavier is believed to be in the Carson City area and may be riding a red bicycle. Xavier does not have any medical problems and is not considered at risk.
Xavier is a white male juvenile. He is 17-years-old. He is approximately 5’6” and is 110 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. No clothing description.

On 03/04/2021, at about 0830 hours, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team (SET) in collaboration with the Tri Count Gang Unit and the Nevada Department of Public Safety Investigations Division (NDI) executed a search warrant for two rooms at the Frontier Motel located at 1718 N Carson St in Carson City.

A Carson City woman died from COVID-19 on Friday; 30 new cases reported, 57 recoveries

The individual was a female Carson City resident in her 60’s.
Non-injury accident reported Friday afternoon in front of Railroad Museum
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 03/05/2021 - 5:56pmJust before 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon a non-injury accident was reported in front of the Railroad Museum on Carson Street.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident. No injuries are reported at this time.
Motorists should use caution in the area.
Aquarium Products Sold Online and at Nevada Pet Stores Contaminated with Invasive Zebra Mussels
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 03/05/2021 - 4:28pmThe Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is investigating reports that invasive zebra mussels have been found in aquarium products sold through online retailers and local and national pet stores in various states, including Nevada.
The products contaminated with the invasive species may be labeled as Imagitarium Betta Buddy Marimo Balls, Marimo Moss Ball Plants, or similar names, and are decorative moss plants for home aquariums.
Carson City man reported dead in Roop Street Apartment Fire

In years past, the event included attendees who enjoyed competitive games of BINGO and a pasta feed. The total amount of donations received benefit the Carson City Senior Citizens Center's Meals on Wheels Program.
