The Carson City School Board will convene for an informal board retreat which may result in a possible quorum on Jan. 24, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The retreat will be held amongst trustees, the superintendent and district leaders to allow team buildings, according to the meeting agenda. The meeting will take place in the board room of the Carson City School District at 1402 West King Street.

This is an informal meeting aimed at team building and sharing ideas, so no action will be taken during this meeting; however, because there is the potential for a quorum, the meeting must be formally noticed to the public in accordance with Open Meeting Law.

During the board retreat, trustees and staff will engage in team building exercises and discuss enhancing parent engagement and school board visibility, among other non-action items.
