A 27-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery after dispatch received an anonymous call saying they had heard yelling and banging coming from a residence, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies responded to the 2900 block of Century Drive for a welfare check. Deputies arrived and made contact with a woman who advised there had been an altercation earlier between herself and her fiancé, the report states.
She said he had been drinking at 4 a.m. and that they got into a verbal argument in which she said she didn’t want to talk to him about it, at which point the man became angry and began yelling and breaking things in the house.
The deputy asked if the altercation became physical. She advised it did and showed the deputy a video that was time-stamped at 5:05 a.m. In the video the suspect is seen attempting to pull the victim off the couch against her will as well as a slap to her foot and an item thrown at her head, the report states.
Deputies learned the location of the man and was able to make contact with him at a Pheasant Way address. The man initially advised how the argument started, what it was about, provided details and that he tried to kick her out of the house. The deputy explained to the man they had video of the incident, which showed a different story than what he described, the report states.
Based on the evidence, he was arrested. Bail: $3,000.

— A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for a confirmed warrant alleging misdemeanor stalking and trespass. The warrant was issued Sept. 28 by Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 28-year-old man was booked Tuesday into Carson City Jail for a misdemeanor bench warrant. He was transferred to Carson City from Washoe County. Bail: $3,000 cash.
