UPDATE 3:41PM: The structure fire off Conte Drive has been knocked down and firefighters are in mop up stage, according to a Carson City Fire Department battalion chief. A fire investigator has been called to the scene.
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Friday afternoon for a reported structure fire that was apparently spreading into brush off Conte Drive in south Carson City.
The fire was reported after 3 p.m. CCFD asked for assistance from East Fork Fire in case the fire spread. The fire was reportedly a structure fire that was threatening to spread into nearby brush.
No word yet on what may have caused it. We will update as information becomes available.
