A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday for suspicion of DUI, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
At 4:38 a.m. a deputy observed a vehicle traveling on North Carson Street near William Street going around 35 mph in a posted 25 mph zone. The vehicle then sped up to 45 mph then slowed down to 30 mph, according to the report.
When the deputy caught up to the vehicle on North Carson Street near Hot Springs Road, the vehicle was straddling the lane divider. The deputy activated their overhead red and blue lights and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver identified herself verbally. As the deputy spoke with her they detected an odor of alcohol coming from her person. She performed standardized field sobriety tests in a manner consistent with that of a person under the influence and was arrested, the report states.
She refused to provide a breath or blood sample. A telephonic warrant was obtained for a blood draw. Bail: $1,140.
In other arrests:
— A 75-year-old man was booked Monday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. The warrant was issued Sept. 15, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 25-year-old Reno man was arrested Monday for a misdemeanor outside agency extraditable warrant from NHP for failure to appear. Bail: $580.
