UPDATE: According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Duncan Dauber, two vehicles, not three, were involved in the crash. The crash involved a white GMC van and a four door passenger vehicle. It blocked the eastbound lane of traffic, which was diverted to the right shoulder. No one was taken to the hospital via ambulance, said Dauber, though it was also initially reported as an injury accident.
A first responders at the scene had had said three vehicles were involved. That was incorrect.
Carson City sheriff’s deputies, the fire department and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Tuesday night to a vehicle crash in the area of Lompa Lane and Highway 50 East.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. and is blocking both lanes of traffic, according to NHP. Motorists should find an alternative route around the accident scene. Minor injuries have been reported, according to dispatch.
