Through a combination of financial contributions, donated materials, and volunteer labor, the Nevada Builders Alliance (NBA) and several of its member companies have contributed more than $60,000 to help restore Carson City’s iconic C-Hill Flag, preserving one of the region’s most recognizable symbols of community pride and patriotism.
The restoration effort, spearheaded by the C-Hill Foundation, marks the culmination of nearly two years of fundraising, planning, and volunteer work to restore the massive American flag overlooking Carson City. Contributing NBA member companies include Simerson Construction, Builders Wholesale, Justin Wilson Construction, Sierra Nevada Realtors, Artistic Fence Co., Vital Signs, and Carson Demolition.
The public is invited to celebrate the completed restoration during the official C-Hill Flag Dedication Ceremony on Flag Day, Sunday, June 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 1499 McKay Drive in Carson City. The event will feature remarks from Congressman Mark Amodei, community leaders, project partners, and representatives from the C-Hill Foundation. Public parking will be available nearby, and no hiking will be required.
“Our members build roads, buildings and infrastructure across Nevada, but we also believe in building stronger communities,” said Jeff Sutich, CEO of Nevada Builders Alliance. “Supporting the restoration of the C-Hill Flag was an opportunity to preserve an important symbol of Carson City pride and give back to a community that means so much to so many Nevadans. The incredible collaboration behind this project reflects what can happen when organizations come together to invest in the places we call home.”
The restoration comes at a meaningful time as communities across the nation prepare to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, reinforcing the enduring significance of the American flag as a symbol of unity, resilience, and shared values.
“This project represents what is possible when a community comes together around a shared purpose,” said C-Hill Foundation President Lucia Maloney. “We are incredibly grateful to the Nevada Builders Alliance and its member companies for their generosity, partnership, and commitment to helping preserve this important Carson City landmark for future generations.”
