A 47-year-old man was arrested Thursday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies responded at 9:57 p.m. to the 2700 block of Viking Way for a report of a domestic dispute.
Deputies met with the reporting party who stated she and her ex-boyfriend got into a verbal argument. She said she was walking away when the man threw a beer can at her, which hit her in the shoulder. She showed the deputy the injury, where the deputy observed a small bruise on the left shoulder. Additionally, she had video footage of the incident.
In the video, the deputy observed the female walking away from the man and him throwing a beer at her. The deputy spoke with another person living on the property who witnessed the man throw the beer can at the woman.
The officer spoke with the suspect, who said they did get into a verbal argument and that he did throw it but did not think it hit the woman, the report states.
The deputy determined the suspect used willful and unlawful physical force against the female, that he was seen in the video and that she had injuries consistent with being hit with the beer can. Bail: $3,137.
In other arrests:
— Two people, each having misdemeanor warrants out of Carson City Justice Court, were arrested Friday morning, according to a CCSO booking report.
Deputies interviewed the 32-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man on North Stewart and John Street. Their names were run and returned with confirmed misdemeanor warrants issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash each.
— A 67-year-old Reno man currently in custody at Carson City Jail was booked Thursday for a misdemeanor no-bail outside agency warrant issued out of Second Judicial Court in Washoe County.
— A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 2:29 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Carson River Road for a misdemeanor outside agency warrant. Bail: $1,078.
— A 52-year-old Fallon man was arrested Thursday, 5:36 a.m. in the area of Highway 50 East and Airport Road for driving with a revoked license. A deputy made a traffic stop for a rear tail lamp that was not illuminated. The deputy made contact with the driver. Dispatch advised the driver had a revoked license. Bail: $640.
