The Nevada State Museum, Carson City, had so much fun with the inaugural Pollinator Palooza last year that we’ve decided to do it again!
In collaboration with Bee City USA #76 and the Green House Project, this year’s Pollinator Palooza delivers a full day of interactive fun on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The program begins at 9 a.m. with pollinator-themed arts and crafts activities as well as a stroller decorating contest.
Stepping off at 10 a.m. from the Nevada State Museum’s Loftin Park is the popular Pollinator Parade, a colorful spectacle featuring participants dressed in their best pollinator costumes. The parade will flow south along Carson Street to McFadden Plaza and then return to the Nevada State Museum, where pollinator fun is turned up a notch with the zany Waggle Dance.
The museum will also feature six engaging science stations that deliver fascinating facts about pollinators and their contributions to Nevada’s natural heritage.
There will be food trucks serving up succulent fare and vendor booths on site throughout the event, too.
Outdoor programming in Loftin Park is free to the public. Activities inside the museum require admission—$10 for adults and free to members and children 17 and under.
The Nevada State Museum, Carson City, is located at 600 N. Carson Street in Carson City and is open Tuesdays through Sundays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parking is available off Curry and Robinson streets.
