This week Catmandu is featuring an adorable litter of four kittens with a memorable story to tell. At Catmandu, we call them our “Trojan kittens.” Their very pregnant mama quietly snuck into the shelter as a rescue.
She immediately went into foster care and soon after gave birth to five healthy babies on May 1.
Now nearly three months old, these short-haired kittens are thriving in a loving foster home where they’ve been growing into affectionate, playful companions.
While one of the girls has been adopted, there are three handsome tabby boys and one beautiful black girl still looking for their forever homes.
Chip is a sweetheart who melts into your lap the moment you sit down. He loves attention and will happily reward you with a loud, contented purr.
Dale, Chip’s brother, is the oldest and the bravest of the bunch. Curious and confident, he loves to explore every corner and is always the first to investigate something new.
Dakota is an incredibly sweet tabby boy who enjoys spending time with his siblings—especially his sister. Gentle and affectionate, he’s happiest hanging out with his family or soaking up attention from people.
Rounding out the litter is Ella May, a darling black kitten with a gentle spirit. This loving little girl is affectionate, calm, and ready to charm everyone she meets.
Like all kittens, these four are full of playful energy, endless curiosity, and plenty of entertainment. Because kittens thrive with feline companionship, it’s important that they either be adopted with another kitten or join a home that already has a friendly young cat.
The kittens are currently living in a foster home and are available for meet-and-greet appointments only until they reach four months of age. They are ready to go home now, but adopters will need to bring them back in early September for their remaining vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, and microchipping. Their adoption fee includes their sterilization surgery, all vaccinations through four months of age, and their microchip.
