Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies responded Sunday morning to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at North Carson and William Street.
Called into dispatch at around 9:42 a.m., a Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy who was first to arrive said the pedestrian had suffered a laceration to their head and was on the roadway.
Carson City Fire Department is on scene and have requested a medical helicopter. The patient is being transported to the Carson City Airport by ambulance where they will be flown to a Reno hospital trauma ward. Traffic lanes are closed around the accident scene. Motorists can expect delays.
