A 50-year-old California man arrested Tuesday on suspicion of DUI was found to be in possession of a bag of assorted prescription pills in which he did not have a script, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper arrested the man on for DUI and gross misdemeanor possession of drugs without a prescription. The trooper gave jail staff a bag of medication that belonged to the man as part of the intake process.

On Wednesday morning an inventory of the man’s property was conducted and bottles were located and verified through drugs.com. The man did not have a prescription for the drugs.

Among the medications found: A white non-pill bottle, containing 132 pills of Levetiraceltam. An RX bottle without a label that contained 89 pills of Metformin, hydrochloride tablets, a bottle with 33 Cyclobenzaprine, and a bottle with Clopidogrel tablets.

The Simi Valley man was booked on the DUI charge and three counts gross misdemeanor prescription drugs without a prescription. Bail: $7,500.

In other arrests: A 26-year-old Carson City man, Kyle Carpenter, already in Carson City jail on felony charges was booked with a misdemeanor theft warrant issued Aug. 10, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court.

Carpenter was booked into custody Saturday, 10:27 a.m. in the area of Carson River Road on a felony warrant charge of battery with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia out of Lyon County. He was booked on the stolen property charge after officers had investigated the bike theft, which happened sometime after 11:30 p.m. Friday.
The bike was a Specialized Rock Hopper. The victim provided a serial number and a receipt of purchase.

The deputy later discovered the bike had been booked into an evidence locker for safe keeping when Carpenter was arrested earlier on the warrant charges and was in possession of the bicycle. Bail for the warrant charge, $1,000 bringing his total bail amount to $57,355.

— A 60-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 7:05 p.m. in the 1500 block of Hot Springs Road on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the residence and spoke with the victim who said her boyfriend had been drinking, got physical with her and chased her around the residence, cornering her in a bathroom. The man allegedly pushed the woman two or three times and then threatened to hit her if she spoke. The woman had light redness around her shoulder, according to the arrest report. The man left the scene prior to arrival and was located later inside a casino and arrested. Bail: $3,137.

— A 36-year-old Dayton man was booked Tuesday, 7:40 p.m. into Carson City Jail on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear in traffic court, issued June 30, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $840.
