A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday for a felony warrant alleging sexual assault of a minor, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

The suspect, Matthew Ramos of Fernley, was taken into Carson City Sheriff’s Office custody at 5:16 p.m. after contacting him at a Fernley address on Wind River Road. The warrant was issued Oct. 27, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail was set at $1 million.

According to the report, deputies knocked on the door of the address and were allowed inside. The suspect was contacted, exited a bathroom and cooperated with CCSO. He was then taken to Carson City Jail.

No other information was provided in the booking report.

— A 39-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Friday morning for suspicion of domestic battery second offense.

According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a Pheasant Drive address at 1:26 a.m. The reporting party, who was later determined to be the suspect, had advised her boyfriend hit and pushed her down.

Deputies spoke with male and learned the woman got mad at him because he had a beer at a restaurant and did not tell her about it. He told deputies the two were downstairs watching TV when the woman began to argue with him. He said the woman then wanted him to go upstairs to bed with her.

He told deputies he stated he wanted to stay downstairs to create space and avoid further arguing. He said she became upset and started throwing books off a nearby chair. He said she then began cursing at him and continued throwing items around the house, the report states.

While the woman was upstairs, he said she began throwing personal items, causing him to go upstairs to stop her. When he got upstairs he said he told the woman to stop throwing his stuff. He said she then go in his face and tried to bite him. He said he pushed her away from him, creating space to defend himself.

The man told deputies the woman began throwing items at him, specifically a multi-tool, that hit him in the hand. He said she told him she was going to call police and he advised the same. While downstairs, the man stated he could hear the woman hitting herself and yelling out in pain. He stated he did not hit the woman in any way, other than pushing her off of him when she tried to bite him, the report states.

Deputies then spoke with the woman, who stated her boyfriend said he was going to have a mental breakdown. She said she tried to calm him down and asked him to go upstairs to go to bed. She said he became upset and began yelling at her. She stated she took the fire stick out of the TV and went upstairs and that he followed her upstairs and then pushed her down onto the bed, according to the report.

She stated she hit her head on the bed frame when she fell. She said she reached for her purse to grab her phone and began dialing 911. She stated her boyfriend became more upset and punched her in the hip. She said she then called 911 and the man went downstairs, the report states.

The deputy asked if she had any injuries to her head. She stated it hurt and there was a knot. The deputy observed the woman’s head and did not see any visible injuries but could feel a small knot in the area, the report states.

A deputy asked her to show her hip area where they observed a small bruise and red marks to her right hip. She advised the man used his right hand to punch her right hip. The deputy asked to show where they were was when she said that he hit her hip.

She positioned herself at an angle, on her side of the bed, sitting with her legs crossed. The deputy noted in the report that it would be hard for someone to punch someone in the hip, sitting in the position the woman described.

While speaking with the woman, she appeared scared and was crying intermittently. Deputies took pictures of the woman’s injuries. A deputy then repeated what the woman had told her and then she said the man pushed here twice and at one point had her in a headlock, then pushed her down a second time.

The deputy asked her to describe when the man punched her in the hip. She stated she was having a hard time remembering everything. The deputy asked if she threw anything in the home. She stated no. The deputy asked if she threw anything at the man. She stated no, the report states.

A deputy went back downstairs to follow up with the man and learned he had security cameras in the home with audio recording.

He shared the audio recording from the living room and started at the beginning of the incident, where the deputy could hear the woman yelling at the man to come to bed. The man stated he was going to stay downstairs and watch TV. The woman continued to yell at the man and began throwing items around, according to the report.

The man is heard asking her to stop and she refused. The deputy could hear items being thrown around and the man yelling stop. The deputy could hear the woman stating she was going upstairs and could hear the voices becoming faint. The deputy could hear the woman throwing items upstairs and the man yelling her to stop. At one point, the deputy could hear a scuffle, the woman screaming and the man stating why did you try to bite me, the report states.

The deputy could hear the man coming back downstairs and nothing coming from upstairs. Shortly after, the deputy could hear some thuds and the woman yelling out in pain a few times, the report states. The man is downstairs and yells out “are you hitting yourself.” The woman then yells out something to the effect of “you punched me and I’m calling 911,” the report states.

A deputy asked the man if he had any injuries. When he pulled up his left pant leg, there was a fresh wound in the shin area. The deputy took pictures of the injury. He advised he didn’t know when this happened but must have been when she threw items at him.

Based on the investigation, deputies determined the woman’s story changed multiple times and was not consistent with what the audio recording shared and that the man’s story was consistent with the audio recording and injury he had, the report states.

Deputies determined the woman was the primary aggressor and was arrested. She consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .115 and was booked for suspicion of domestic battery second offense. Bail: $5,000.
