Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division has identified an Idaho woman who died in a crash Oct. 29, 2023 on I-80 in Churchill County.

Donna Lee Boyer, 66, of Emmett, Idaho died Nov. 8 at an area hospital from injuries sustained in the single vehicle rollover on I-80 near mile marker 60.

According to Nevada State Police, troopers responded to the scene at approximately 8:32 a.m. on the morning of Oct. 29. The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Boyer was traveling westbound on IR80 near mile marker 60, in Churchill County.

The Chevrolet departed the roadway onto the left inside dirt shoulder, turned to the right back onto the travel lane, then left again into the inside shoulder, where it overturned and came to a stop on its tires in the dirt median, according to NSP.

Boyer was transported to an area hospital where she died from Nov. 8 from injuries sustained in the rollover. Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command West M.I.R.T (Multidisciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team) is investigating this crash.

This year, 2023, there have been 41 fatal crashes resulting in 47 fatalities, according to Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Northern Command West.
