A 71-year-old Oregon man died Friday morning in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Highway 50 in Stateline at Lake Tahoe, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports. Larry Dean Wells died at the scene of the accident. A passenger, Roxane Jean Freeman, 68, was taken by medical helicopter to Renown Medical Center in Reno with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident was reported to NHP at around 7:45 a.m. The preliminary crash investigation details indicates that a blue Hyundai was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 when the vehicle exited the roadway striking a tree and over turning, said NHP Trooper Dan Lopez.
