Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of July 24-30, 2023. Closures are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work:
Colorado Street will be closed between Saliman Road and Jodi Lane, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
The city’s annual long-line and short-line striping projects are beginning. These projects will affect roads city-wide, overnight. Please use caution, follow traffic control requirements, and don’t drive in wet paint.
Carson Street north of Hot Springs Road will have temporary turn-lane closures as crews work on the median landscaping. Saturday and Sunday, 6:00am to 3:00pm.
Colorado Street between S. Carson Street and Saliman Road will have narrowed lanes, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for roadway reconstruction.
California Street between Colorado Street and Industrial Park Drive will have narrowed lanes, Monday – Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for roadway reconstruction.
Curry Street between Clearview and Koontz Lane will have reduced lanes, Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 4:00pm.
Desatoya Drive will have lane restrictions as crews work to complete and correct for ADA-compliant curb ramps, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Mountain Street between Winnie Lane and King Street will have narrowed lanes, Wednesday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for utility work.
Medical Parkway between Carson Street and Medical Parkway Loop will have reduced lanes with flaggers, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm for road work.
Silver Oak Drive will have lane restrictions and flaggers between Medical Parkway and N. Carson Street, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm for road work and a slurry seal.
Vista Lane between Medical Parkway and Silver Oak Drive will have narrowed lanes with flaggers, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm for roadway improvements.
Saliman Road will have lane restrictions between Sonoma Street and Colorado Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm for utility work by a private contractor.
Stewart Street between 7th Street and 9th Street will trucks entering the roadway. Please be alert.
