Kelly Colvin has been named the new audit division chief for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the agency announced Monday. Colvin replaces former Audit Division Chief Shirley Springer who retired in February.
“I am happy to promote Kelly Colvin to be Chief of the Audit Division,” said Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman A.G. Burnett. “Among many important functions, the Audit Division audits large casinos and makes sure our licensees are properly reporting their gaming revenue and taxes to the State. Kelly brings to the table over 26 years of experience within the Division. Moving forward, I believe Kelly will modernize the Division, streamline the audit process and provide leadership within the Division by working closely with the Board’s other five Division Chiefs.”
Mr. Colvin began his career with the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s Audit Division as an agent in January 1990. Mr. Colvin graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he was awarded a B.S. in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. He has also been a Nevada Certified Public Accountant since 1994.
As the Audit Division Chief, Kelly Colvin will manage the Audit Division operations for the Board, statewide. There are offices in Reno and Las Vegas.
