That press release from Neighbors is just that – his own high opinion of himself and what he has done to Carson City. He is a greedy carpetbagger from Idaho. He doesn’t live here nor does he care about Carson City. His only interest is in making money.

He was no friend to Bob Crowell but he fits right in with Bagwell and her crowd. The so-called Adams Hub was a going business when he bought it – it was not vacant – so what did he do except give himself an “in” into downtown.

The so-called “former Doppelgangers Bar” was owned locally and remodeled into a bar/restaurant. I know this because my late husband, Fred, did the remodel work! Neighbors had nothing to do with it!

He is not working for the betterment of Carson City. He is working for the enrichment of himself! If the Board and Mayor go ahead with this plan (another city boondoggle), he will be even richer than he is now. The citizens will not gain one thing. The Mayor may like to have a new building she can call The Lori Building, but that does nothing!

We don’t want a government-sponsored hotel to compete with private enterprises. And, if this town needed a convention center, a real entrepreneur would already have built it. City Hall needs to be on the main street of town, not tucked behind a casino. Empty parking lots are not blight!
