By Candy Duncan — The Luck of the Irish Mystery Train is Coming Back to the Virginia Truckee Railroad. And this time it’s a Miner Murder! Get ready for some interactive fun on Saturday, March 15, and help us solve a mystery.
History tells us that the Miners of the Comstock were a rough and tumble group, hard at work underground mining for gold during the day and carousing at the Virginia City saloons at night. Someone was bound to get murdered, and you get to help us find out “who done it!”
Travel in comfort on one of our authentic turn -of -the -century passenger cars as we ride though the Comstock mining district to Gold Hill, Nevada. The Fun Time Theater Company will present the clues and the suspects. As you work to solve the mystery you will be served a choice of Irish themed beer, white wine or soft drinks and tasty snacks.
Plan to be in Virginia City early for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and then enjoy dining and shopping in town before heading on down the depot. Trains depart at 2:30 and 4:30 from the original 1870 depot at 166 F Street. Tickets are $58 per person and reservations are available at virginiatruckee.com.
The leprechauns will be waitin’ for ya, so get your tickets soon!
