Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Monday afternoon to a single vehicle crash on I-580 in the southbound lane near the North Carson Street exit.
At around 12:15 p.m. Carson City dispatch began receiving multiple 911 calls regarding a vehicle that had apparently crashed into the median. An arriving first responder reports a single vehicle crash and that there were not any serious injuries.
Traffic in the area was diverted with one lane open. Motorists can expect delays. The cause is under investigation.
