The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrests of Joshua Quinton  Carradine, 49, and Angela Bell Carradine, 61, following an extensive, multi-year investigation into alleged  theft and fraudulent business practices involving AJ Home Center / AJ Construction, formerly operating in  Silver Springs, Nevada.

The investigation began in June 2023 after the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Central Command received  complaints involving fraudulent home purchases, construction agreements, and financial transactions  associated with the business.

The alleged criminal activity spanned from April 2022 through February 2024 and affected numerous victims in Nevada and California.

Investigators identified multiple victims who suffered significant financial losses, with the total alleged losses  exceeding $1 million. For many of these victims, the financial consequences were devastating, involving substantial personal savings and funds intended for the purchase or construction of their homes.

In June 2023, shortly after the Sheriff’s Office began receiving complaints and investigators made contact with  Joshua and Angela Carradine, the AJ Home Center business location in Silver Springs was destroyed by a fire  under suspicious circumstances. Numerous business documents and records were reportedly destroyed in the  fire.

Despite the loss of potential evidence, investigators continued pursuing the case as additional complaints were  received throughout 2024.

During the investigation, the Carradines relocated out of Nevada, with their last  known residence believed to be in Tennessee.

The investigation involved cooperation between the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the Nevada Housing  Division, and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. Through these efforts, investigators identified numerous  victims and documented alleged fraudulent transactions involving substantial financial losses.

On September 25, 2026, the Walker River Township Justice Court issued nationwide arrest warrants for  Joshua and Angela Carradine.

On October 7, 2026, both individuals were booked into the Lyon County Jail on the following charges, each  facing a total of 13 felony counts:

  • Five counts of theft of property valued greater than $100,000, Category B felonies.
  • Five counts of theft of property valued at $25,000 or more but less than $100,000, Category B felonies.
  • Three counts of theft of property valued at $5,000 or more but less than $25,000, Category C felonies.

Bail was set at $100,000 for each defendant.

This investigation represents a significant effort by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Central Command and its  partner agencies to pursue accountability for alleged financial crimes that have had lasting consequences for  victims and their families.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the tremendous financial and emotional impact these alleged  crimes have had on members of the Silver Springs community and others affected throughout Nevada and  California.

The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to investigating complex financial crimes and pursuing  those accused of exploiting the trust of community members.
