Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called to an injury accident on the I-580 freeway, between College Parkway and Arrowhead.
The crash happened just after 5 p.m. in the southbound lane, involving at least one person driving a green Dodge pickup who was injured after hitting the wall and spinning out, said Carson City sheriff’s Sgt. Scott McDaniel. The extent of injuries are unknown at this time and an ambulance was called to the scene. Traffic control is in place on southbound I-580. Motorist should avoid the area.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
