Because of dangerous road conditions, WNC’s Carson City campus and the Child Development Center are closed today, Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Carson City campus classes and services will again operate remotely.

WNC’s Fallon campus is on a two-hour delay.

Students who normally attend classes on campus should check with their instructors to see if their classes will be held remotely. Log into WNC Anywhere at wnc.instructure.com for updates from your instructor.

Following an assessment of the weather and road conditions around the University of Nevada, Reno campus, a decision has been made to suspend all non-essential campus operations (campus operations refers to any work performed at the main University campus, office, property, field work or sponsored events in Reno) and in-person classes today, Wednesday, Feb. 18. All web and web-live classes, and remote operations will continue as scheduled.

Instructors may conduct class remotely, if possible, and provide notice to students as soon as possible. Students are advised to check WebCampus for any updates from instructors, as remote instruction such as asynchronous or synchronous Zoom sessions or alternative non-in-person assignments, may be assigned.

Faculty and staff should work directly with their supervisor/dean for remote work options.

The Redfield campus, Building A at 18600 Wedge Pkwy., and the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe’s Wayne L. Prim campus have also suspended non-essential campus operations today, Feb. 18.
