UPDATE 6:50 p.m.: First responders on scene stated that there is no flame or smoke, but there is “a lot of heat” coming from the ice cream freezer’s electrical panel.

Work had been done recently to the electrical panel.

Other responders were released from the scene and there does not appear to by any immediate danger.

A structure fire was reported at the Quik Stop on North Roop Street at 6:40 p.m. Friday night.

First responders are enroute from Carson City as well as Truckee Meadows Fire.

The reporting party stated that there is an electrical burning smell coming from the ice cream freezer.

The store has been evacuated.
