Two sisters were arrested Tuesday on misdemeanor charges following a fight in which tires were slashed and television sets were thrown in the street, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, deputies were called to a residence in the 400 block of East Park Street at 4:33 p.m. regarding two sisters, ages 27 and 25, involved in a domestic dispute.

Deputies met with the father of the two women who stated the two were arguing outside the residence and the 25-year-old slashed the tires of her sister’s truck, the arrest report states.

Seeing this, the father said the 27-year-old sister went inside the residence, took her sister’s television and a television in the living room and threw them both in the street, according to the arrest report. The deputy observed two televisions were smashed in the street.

The father said the women continued to fight outside then came back into the house. He said the 27-year-old daughter pushed him and he pushed her back. He had scratches on his arm that he said were from his daughter, the arrest report states.

A deputy interviewed the 25-year-old who advised her sister wanted to take her car to go to a casino. When she told her sister no, the two fought in the parking lot of their residence. She said she went back inside after the fight and went to her room.

She said her sister pushed the door to her room to continue the fight. She said the 27-year-old took her television and smashed it to the ground. She advised that when her sister forced herself into the room, one of her dogs bit both she and her sister, the arrest report states. Medics with the Carson City Fire Department were called to the scene to evaluate the bites on both sisters.

The 25-year-old admitted to slashing the tires on her sister’s vehicle. Dispatched advised the 25-year-old had a Carson City Justice Court misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued Sept. 15, 2016. She was arrested on the warrant. Her bail was $410.

While waiting for fire department personnel to arrive to treat the dog bites, the 27-year-old told deputies her father had hit her with the cord of one of the televisions. A cord for the TV was found on the ground. With the allegation about the father, the deputy forwarded the case to the district attorney’s office for review.

The 27-year-old was arrested for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery. Her bail was set at $1,137. Both women were taken to the hospital to be treated for the dog bites prior to being booked into jail.

Both women said they did not want to press charges on each other for destruction of property.
