Senators still on a winning roll
For a while it looked like a nine-year run may be coming to an end.
But the Carson Senator bowling team didn't flinch after a rough start and came back for a 30-15 win over Manogue in the High Desert Interscholastic Bowling Program semifinals on Friday at Sparks' Coconut Bowl.
Carson, the regular season Valley Division champion, improved to 9-0 on the season and extended its winning streak to 76 matches over the last nine years. Carson has never lost in competition, going 76-0. Carson will face Reed, the Mountain Division regular season champion and a winner over Spanish Springs in the other semifinal, for the Northern Nevada title on Wednesday at the Grand Sierra Resort.
