Youth from around Nevada learn crafts, life skills at Tahoe summer camp

While he said he enjoyed the activities, he mostly appreciated the sense of connection he’s felt and the lessons learned about being vulnerable.

Children's Museum in Carson City to host summer science camp

Participants will get hands on lessons in science, art, music and literary projects tied to the Carson River watershed, as well as learning about regional geology and mining, geothermal and solar energy, biomes of Northern Nevada and hot air balloons.

All adult hardcover books will be 50 cents each and paperbacks will be 25 cents. The sale will be at the Carson City Library, 900 N. Roop Street, today, Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
