Greater Nevada Mortgage has promoted Eva Simmons from Loss Mitigation Supervisor to Mortgage Funding Manager. She will be located in Carson City.

The Carson City Chamber Young Business Professionals is a Chamber program for those between the age of 21-40 designed to introduce young professionals to the art of networking in social settings as well as providing opportunities for self-improvement. All YBP members are members of the Chamber through their place of business or through their own business. Membership is free and meetings are held monthly at various venues throughout the city.

The traditional lighting of the Christmas trees – both State and City – has been on-going here in the capital city for well over 22 years. This year, Silver & Snowflakes Holiday Tree Lighting is becoming a new tradition, Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights and it begins on Friday evening, December 2nd.

The Young Business Professionals have reorganized and are planning a bigger and better year for their members (and your employees) under 40. Their first meeting of the year will feature a meet and greet with Jim Phalan, successful restaurateur and owner of the Firkin & Fox and the new High Sierra Brewing Company in Carson City. Jim is 35 years old and now owns 4 successful restaurants.

It was a party made with plenty of good cheer, chili, hot cider and lots of ice skating as the Carson City Chamber of Commerce rang in the Christmas spirit tonight with its annual holiday party at Arlington Square Ice Rink.
The party featured a medley of holiday songs performed by the Carson High Capital Stars. Festivities inside the heated pavilion included great conversation among chamber members and city, state and school representatives, hot food, cocoa and cider compliments of Grandma Hattie's and cookies compliments of the Carson Nugget.

Join in and celebrate the holidays on Wednesday at the annual Carson City Chamber of Commerce holiday party at Arlington Square Ice Rink.
The free community event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at the rink, located in the Main Street parking lot across from the Carson Nugget, at the corner of Robinson and Curry Streets in Downtown Carson City.

The Young Business Professionals are very excited to announce their upcoming mixer. We are happy to have The Brewery Arts Center host November’s mixer in the Artisan Café. This mixer will be highlighting the Brewery Arts Center BAC Stage Kids, a resident children’s theatre company at the Brewery Arts Center. The BAC Stage Kids will be performing a song from their new play “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.” All monies raised at the mixer will be donated to this amazing organization. Come show your support for the Brewery Arts Center and the BAC Stage Kids.

This month's Young Business Professionals mixer will be held at the Brewery Arts Center Artisan Cafe on Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The Member Appreciation Mixer will be held on Tuesday, May 25, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at El Charro Avitia, 4389 South Carson Street in Carson City.
Come enjoy appetizers and drink specials while networking with other YBP members. Great raffle prizes are in the mix, too.
