The fair will have crystals and jewelry, healings, psychic readings, angel channeling and more. Readings begin at 4 p.m. for $30.

Roadway maintenance the topic at Monday's Democratic luncheon

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Chris Martinovich, PE, Transportation Manager at Carson City Public Works. He is project manager for Preserve Carson City Roads, a campaign designed to educate Carson City drivers about current roadway conditions, preservation solutions, potential funding sources, and what will happen if sufficient investments are not made to preserve our roads. Chris' presentation will be a status report on progress his project team has made to date.

Signups begin for fall memory loss workshops hosted by Carson area nonprofit Kids & Horses

Kids & Horses partners with Connected Horse to offer powerful workshops to individuals with memory loss and their care partners.

Based on research conducted at UC Davis and Stanford Universities, these workshops resulted in significant improvement in mood, increased positive perception of social support, and greater awareness and appreciation of the relationship between the person with memory loss and their care partner.

Three Carson City music students awarded Rosemary Nebesky Memorial Scholarships

Jonah Toral, Nathan Parsons, and Bita Jazani were awarded the fifth annual Rosemary Nebesky Memorial Scholarships by the Carson City Symphony Association this month. The scholarship was established by John and Jennifer Webley of Santa Rosa, Calif., in memory Rosemary Nebesky, who loved music, loved children, and had been a friend and board member of the Carson City Symphony Association.
