Monday happenings in Carson City

Event Date:
July 30, 2018 (All day)

It’s time for a new week, but unfortunately, the air conditions are just more of the same. The summer’s wildfire season just seems to be getting worse. As the smoky air settles in the valley, you’ll need to be much more cautious about your outdoor activity. Let Chili’s take care of dinner tonight, it’s too hot to cook anyway, and you’ll be helping the Northern Nevada Dream Center raise funds to assist those less fortunate. Kids can beat the heat at the Carson City Library with the Happy Notes program, just make sure you register first: space is limited.

And while the Carson City Library was no longer on main street where she visited as a girl, she saw it still played a pivotal role in the community.

Senator Square: Senior project presentations are around the corner

Like all students of Carson High School over the past 16 years, Honors Student Tyler Warren, since his freshman year, thought about what he would be doing for his senior project, a graduation requirement for every student who hopes to receive a diploma from CHS.
