Antsy McClain & the Trailer Park Troubadours with opener King Whistler kicked off 2019’s Levitt Amp’s free concert series in Carson City Saturday Night, hosted by the Brewery Arts Center.

This is the fourth year in a row Carson City has won the grant to make the concert series possible.

Thousands will pack Carson City venues during the Capital City Brewfest and Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series on Saturday, June 22.

Heading into the weekend, there's a bevy of events around the Carson City region that brings a cool breeze to the first three days of summer. The 16th Motor Officer Challenge kicks off Friday at 7 a.m. at Mills Park. Lace up the shoes for a Friday morning walk at East Silver Saddle Ranch hosted by Muscle Powered.

Antsy McClain & the Trailer Park Troubadours will headline the fourth annual Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series at the Brewery Arts Center on Saturday, June 22.

Whether traveling with other musicians, like his Nashville-based band the Trailer Park Troubadours, or with just his guitar, Antsy McClain guaranteed to put on a memorable show filled with both “humor and heart.” Antsy McClain’s unique, down-home sound and lyrics mix serious subjects, social commentary, and observations about life with moments of humor and absurdity; a single song could have you laughing and crying at the same time.

His shows are filled with comedy, music, and storytelling, and his relatable nature leaves audiences feeling like Antsy is a close friend.

April 26, 2019—The countdown to an unforgettable season of free concerts in Carson City is underway! Today the Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series presented by The Change Companies announced its impressive lineup of artists who will perform at The Change Companies stage on the Brewery Arts Center’s campus each Saturday at 7pm from June 22 to Aug. 24. So grab your family, friends and neighbors and get ready to experience the power of free, live music to bring our community together!

We’re in for another gray day, but that won’t affect the fun to be had. Bike to Work Week always ends in a big bash. Head down to McFadden Plaza, even if you didn’t take the challenge personally. You’ll find live music, raffles, bike games, and too much fun. Western Nevada Musical Theater Company returns for another weekend of Singin’ in the Rain at the Bob Boldrick Theater. Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours are waiting to entertain you at the Brewery Arts Center. There may be some balcony seating still available, but tickets are very limited.

Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours will perform at Carson City’s Brewery Arts Center this Friday, May 18 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. McClain brings his unique blend of music and “humor with heart” to the stage, combining original songs with a hilarious slide show featuring life observations, social commentary and imaginary sponsors from his home town trailer park of Pine View Heights.

The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1976, presents Christmas at the Trailer Park with Antsy McClain on Friday, Dec. 9 in the Maizie Harris Jesse Black Box Theater.

Western Nevada College is hosting an open house in the Reynolds Center for Technology featuring some of their great programs. Stop what you’re doing at 10:20 a.m. and brace yourself: the Great Nevada Shake-out Drill reminds us to be ready for earthquakes.

Austin Lounge Lizards and Antsy McClain & the Trailer Park Troubadours Return to Virginia City and Piper's Opera House. Lizards on Friday, October 14 and Antsy on Thursday, October 20. Both shows are at 7:00pm and doors open at 6:30pm.

It's time to kick off this three-day weekend. Satiate your sweet tooth at the Boys and Girls Club; high school senior Larrissa Cruzan has organized a bake sale. Head downtown to check out the Grand Opening reception at Charlie B Gallery on West Telegraph. Stick around for the great band playing at Westside Pour House or have some dinner at one the nearby restaurants. Party Mardi Gras style at Remedy’s and wear something black light reactive.

Ready to break a world record, Carson City? High school senior, Taylor Weddell is organizing an attempt at the World’s Largest Human Christmas Tree for her senior project. Grab everyone you know and head to Carson High at 10 a.m. Bundle up, and get ready for a good time. Hot beverages will be available to help keep you warm.

UPDATE: The Carson Tahoe Health Foundation is pleased to host HopeFest 2014, an outdoor concert tonight, Friday, offering free admission with all sales on food, drinks and raffle tickets directly benefitting local cancer patients.

Nationally famed folk-rock band, Antsy McClain and The Trailer Park Troubadours known for their cowboy jazz, Tex-Mex groove and soulful R&B dance tunes will be the headlining performers. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center located at 1535 Medical Parkway, Carson City.

Sunny skies and crisp fall temperatures are in motion for the 74th annual Nevada Day Parade, which begins at 10 a.m. down Carson Street in Carson City. The three-hour four mile-long parade features hundreds of colorful floats, high-stepping equestrian units, and spirited marching bands from throughout the state. The traditional 10 a.m. flyover of military aircraft from the Fallon Naval Air Station and Nevada Air Guard will kick-off the parade.

Nevada Day festivities will celebrate the 148th year since joining the union with the theme, “Honoring Our Military and Families Past, Present and Future” Oct. 25-28.

The Brewery Arts Center is the place to be St. Patrick’s Day weekend when a bit of Ireland and Scotland come to town. The folk duo Men of Worth will bring Celtic music to life in the Performance Hall on Friday, March 16th at 8pm.
Scotsman Donnie Macdonald and Irishman James Keigher blend music and storytelling to take audiences on journey to their homelands. The self described Extreme Traditional Celtic Musicians have preserved the emotion and tradition of their homeland songs while at the same time telling new stories.
