Three-hour Nevada Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. along Carson Street route
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sat, 10/27/2012 - 9:08amSunny skies and crisp fall temperatures are in motion for the 74th annual Nevada Day Parade, which begins at 10 a.m. down Carson Street in Carson City. The three-hour four mile-long parade features hundreds of colorful floats, high-stepping equestrian units, and spirited marching bands from throughout the state. The traditional 10 a.m. flyover of military aircraft from the Fallon Naval Air Station and Nevada Air Guard will kick-off the parade.

March 16, 2012 (All day) The Brewery Arts Center is the place to be St. Patrick’s Day weekend when a bit of Ireland and Scotland come to town. The folk duo Men of Worth will bring Celtic music to life in the Performance Hall on Friday, March 16th at 8pm.
Scotsman Donnie Macdonald and Irishman James Keigher blend music and storytelling to take audiences on journey to their homelands. The self described Extreme Traditional Celtic Musicians have preserved the emotion and tradition of their homeland songs while at the same time telling new stories.
