Team of scuba divers begin underwater cleanup efforts at Donner Lake

Kiva Picnic area, Baldwin and Nevada beaches, Big Meadow trailhead, the McKinney Rubicon Off-Highway Vehicle area and Sawmill Pond, Eagle Falls, Chimney Beach and Secret Harbor parking areas will open April 30, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
Volunteers in Carson City's first Trash Mob set out to tidy up the town

Volunteer Randy Gaa said he noticed the trash along the multi-use path and wanted to do something about it. As a member of Muscle Powered, a community group that advocates bicycling and pedestrian friendly development, he brought up his concerns to Donna Inversin, Muscle Powered's president.

Inspiration Point, Logan Shoals, Chimney Beach, and Secret Harbor open April 21 and Sawmill Pond and the Sandpit OHV areas open May 1. Baldwin Beach and Nevada Beach and Campground open May 9.
