Carson City school bus drivers host last day of school parade to recognize student efforts

In recognition of the last day of school Wednesday, June 3, the Transportation Department with the Carson City School District hosted a school bus parade where drivers displayed banners to provide recognition for all the student efforts in completing Remote Learning school work and assignments.

Graduation parade routes in Douglas County announced for Carson Valley and Lake Tahoe

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will facilitate road closures and procession routes area graduates will take during high school commencement ceremonies through the Carson Valley this Saturday and at Lake Tahoe on June 19. Please remember the streets will be closed to traffic at approximately 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Detours around the parade routes will be available and are listed in detail below.
