UPDATE 3:30PM: A fire investigator was called following a smoldering fire inside a residence that happened in a 12 foot by 15 foot bedroom, said Carson City Fire Department On-Duty Battalion Chief Jason Danen. Firefighters arrived at the residence in the 1000 block of Koontz Lane and found smoke in a bedroom where the fire had been smoldering. The cause is under investigation.

Carson City Fire Department called to structure fire on Rawhide Way

UPDATE 9:30PM: A fire that started in the kitchen area of a Rawhide Way residence and spread into the attic was quickly knocked down Tuesday night, said Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Tom Raw.
It started as a cooking fire and went into the exhaust system, extending into the attic, he said. It was knocked down within 15 minutes upon arrival.

UPDATE 11:10 AM: Firefighters have put out the fire at an apartment in the 3300 block of Imperial Way. The fire was discovered by paramedics who had arrived at the residence on a medical call for a female victim.
Smoke was observed to be pouring out of the apartment unit when responders first arrived. Paramedics were able to locate and remove the female victim safely from the apartment, and firefighters doused the flames.

Several engines were on scene Saturday afternoon to battle a blaze that had fully engulfed a home in a mobile home park on Tiger Drive in Carson City.
NV Energy and Southwest Gas utility trucks had also arrived on scene to shut off utilities to the residence.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

There was a structure fire at 9th and Tamarack in Silver Springs on Monday afternoon. A single residential home became engulfed and looks to be total loss. No loss of life. The blaze possibly started in the kitchen.

The Carson City Fire Department was called Wednesday evening to the 1800 block of Mathe Drive for a structure fire. The incident was later identified as coming from a burnt motor from the HVAC system at around 6:30 p.m. and knocked down.

Fire agencies called to large structure fire in Dayton

UPDATE 5:17PM: Central Lyon County Fire District reports that both homes in Wednesday's fire in Dayton have been destroyed. Units from surrounding fire agencies remain on scene doing mop up operations.

Central Lyon County Fire confirms two bystanders were transported to a local hospital for possible smoke related injuries. The American Red Cross is assisting one family of three and a local church is assisting the other family of three to four people. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Nevada State Fire Marshals Office.
