Pandemic may bring less Halloween participants, but those Nevadans who spend likely to go big

With October now here, retailers statewide are stocking up on the essentials for the most frightening time of the year. This year, Nevada consumers are projected to spend $128.7 million on scary decorations, elaborate costumes and sugary sweets to celebrate Halloween, according to estimates by the Retail Association of Nevada.

Retailers: Nevada Halloween spending projected to surpass $139 million

With Halloween next Thursday, Silver State retailers who have stocked up on spooky goods say consumers are projected to spend an estimated $139.4 million on ghostly decorations, costumes and sweets to celebrate, according to estimates by the Retail Association of Nevada.
