Nowruz is the ancient Persian “New Year” celebrated since 1700 B.C. that occurs on the first day of spring at the vernal equinox. This year, Veterans Healing Camp adds new excitement to the holiday with authentic Elvis impersonator, “Jelvis,” in addition to the two live music acts.

Celtic mandolin master Marla Fibish, and guitarist Bruce Victor will be joining forces with Marin County's Irish fiddle virtuoso Suzuki Cady. With elegant performances of intimate songs and intricate Celtic tunes, Noctambule remains a BAC favorite since the beginning of our Celtic Music Series.
Sierra Lutheran alum of Carson City chases another tiger tail in pursuit of doctorate

After the Carson City product received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology, with a Minor in Linguistics last year from Louisiana State University, the LSU Tigers alum, and 2014 Sierra Lutheran High School graduate, is now pursuing study of a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at LSU.

Back by popular demand, Mr. Bayer will read from and talk about his book, "Rhymes From The Silver State," a collection of Nevada lyrics — songs and poems — reflecting both the mining era (c. 1854 to c. 1905) and the sagebrush and pine era (1905 to c. 1932). Nothing defines the historical culture of the Silver State better than these pieces.

Interview with Caitlin Jemma, international touring singer-songwriter from Virginia City

Jemma recently completed a European tour, and now she's back in the Silver State. She was scheduled to perform at Piper's Opera House tonight for the West Coast Songwriter's Showcase in Virginia City, until Mother Nature stepped in.
