Mormon Tabernacle Choir 2018 Easter Concert live-streamed March 23

The community is invited to sing Messiah along with choir, orchestra and world-class soloists during the live-stream Mormon Tabernacle Choir 2018 Easter Concert on Friday, March 23 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 411 N. Saliman Road in Carson City.

A pre-concert feed starts at 6 p.m. The full live-stream event begins at 6:30 p.m.

On a morning like this, I realize that I need to ask Santa for some windshield wipers. Stay safe out there, Carson City, the roads are wet. The Carson Library is usually a great place to retreat on days like this, but you’ll find their doors closed for the next few weeks: time for a makeover. If you’d like to check out a book or use the wireless internet, you’ll find a ‘pop-up’ library in the Community Center this week, and in the Adams Hub on Proctor Street next week.

Carson City actor returns home Tuesday for film premier, free concert

Carson City native Grant Davis will appear in person Tuesday at the local premiere of the movie in which he has a starring role, "Something Like Summer", the award-winning new musical film that has won raves on the 2017 film festival circuit, and he will perform a free concert at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the 3rd Street Stage in downtown Carson City.
