Since then the hospital has collected more than 1,600 pounds of pet food and supplies from their clients and the community.

Pets of the Homeless Sponsors Pet Wellness Clinic

The clinic will be held at FISH, 138 E. Long St. on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The clinic will start at 9 a.m. the first 100 pets will be seen by veterinarians and their staff from Sierra Veterinary Hospital, Timberline Animal Hospital, Carson City Animal Shelter. As an added service, Pets of the Homeless will be sponsoring the free spay/neuters through CASI’s Critter Fixer program.

Wellness Clinic Vaccinates 73 Pets

Genevieve Frederick, founder of Pets of the Homeless and sponsor of the clinic, announced that 73 pets where seen and are now safe from infectious diseases. Dr. Gary Ailes of Sierra Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Mike Pulver of Timberline Animal Hospital and his staff, and Dr. David Kowalek and Dr. Micaela Kowalek of the Humane Society provided services.
Pets of the Homeless Free Wellness Clinic

The event is Saturday, May 21, 2016 beginning at 9 a.m. at FISH, 138 East Long St., Carson City.
Carson City veterinary raises cash to equip sheriff’s canine team with bullet-proof vests
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Thu, 08/06/2015 - 3:23pmCarson City sheriff’s deputies routinely wear life protective clothing in the line of duty. Now, five four-paw members of Carson City’s Sheriff’s canine team have added safety too, thanks to a local veterinary hospital.
The dogs were outfitted recently with bullet and knife-protected, strike-rated vests as part of a fundraising effort by Sierra Veterinary Hospital on Saliman Road in Carson City.

Come and taste the best beer and pizza in the region, and vote for your favorite. You can also enjoy the Final Four on TV at the same time, or take part in basketball shooting contests. There will be a live auction for trips and events, a silent auction for great local gifts, and a drawing for a Samuel Adams trip to Boston.
