Public invited to Oncology on Canvas Wine Reception at Sierra Nevada Cancer Center
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Sun, 11/10/2013 - 11:50pmThe Oncology on Canvas Wine Reception will be a special evening of art, wine, appetizers, entertainment, silent auction, 50/50 mystery raffle and socializing. Meet Dr. Perez and take a tour of the facility. Local created art pieces along with pieces from the Lilly Oncology on Canvas National Tour will be on display.
The event will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, 6 p.m. at the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center, 1460 S. Curry Street in Carson City.
Art competition and exhibition 'Expressions of a Cancer Journey' begins in Northern Nevada
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 10/21/2013 - 4:05pmNorthern Nevadans diagnosed with cancer, as well as families, friends, caregivers and healthcare providers, are invited to the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center office in Carson City (1460 South Curry Street, Suite 100) on Saturday, Nov. 2, from noon to 4 p.m., to share their cancer journeys through art and photography, as part of Lilly Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey.
SNCC will provide canvases, brushes, paint and other art supplies, as well as beverages, refreshments, a silent auction and raffle. Artists are free to express themselves however they like.

The non-profit foundation, Empowered Lives through the Cancer Journey, housed at the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center, is hosting this adults-only fundraising event – an evening of Halloween fun and gaiety. The event is scheduled for October 19, 2013 at 5 p.m., at the V&T Railroad, F Street Station in Virginia City.
Sierra Nevada Cancer Center opens cancer treatment center in South Lake Tahoe

Sierra Nevada Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art oncology and hematology facility now offering treatment in five locations including Carson City, Fallon, Gardnerville and Sparks. The South Lake Tahoe facility will expand the reach of Sierra Nevada Cancer Center making cancer treatment more convenient and closer to home for those living at the Lake.

New Prostate Cancer Immunotherapy now available, close to home at Sierra Nevada Cancer Center
